Benefits of Vitamin D & Should You Be Taking It?

Vitamin D.
Did you know Vitamin D isn't a vitamin at all? It is a hormone. We can get it from food and supplements BUT it is best absorbed via the sunshine (30 min of bare skin sun exposure will get you 10,000 IU of Vit D). UNLESS you wear sunscreen, you will then limit the much needed vitamin d your body needs from the sun. You also should not shower directly after sun exposure or that will also impair your absorption.
When is it necessary to supplement with Vitamin D?  If you live in the Northern hemisphere you will need to supplement during the months of Oct-April Take enough needed to get your levels to 40-60 ng/ml (this is considered the optimal normal level. If you have an auto immune disease you may need more - please talk to your medical provider)

Instead manage the fever with Homeopathic Belladonna and monitor any changes in symptoms. If your child’s symptoms change-let’s say to clinging and whiny-you can change the remedy to Homeopathic Pulsatilla. Is your child now achy and grouchy? Look at Homeopathic Bryonia."
This is great information Susie! I love the point about how a fever is simply a sign that the...
